The event’s guiding principle, according to its founders, is encapsulated in the phrase ‘Where genres cross paths, Bouyon leads the way,’ which they say reflects its core philosophy. Acknowledging that Bouyon’s fusion of traditional elements such as jing ping, cadence lypso, bele quadrille, chante mas, lapo kabwit, and contemporary electronic rhythms creates a versatile, energetic foundation, they add that it naturally lends itself to collaboration with genres like soca, dancehall, and others. A foundation they consider as positioning Bouyon to be the leading vocal force in a vibrant musical synergy.

Nova Experience invites you to our first Bouyon Festival carded for Tuesday 21, October at the Newtown Savannah starting from 5 PM,” stated a press release from the organizers.
