OAS concludes Bolivia’s election was rigged in favour of Morales

Bolivian ex-president, Evo Morales

The Organization of American States (OAS) has concluded as a result of what the organization described as “overwhelming evidence”, that  Bolivia’s October election was rigged in favour of the then president, Evo Morales.

Morales was forced to resign amid widespread protests in the Andean nation.

According to the guardian, a nearly 100 page report by the OAS described several violations, including the use of a hidden computer server designed to tilt the vote toward Morales.

As Bolivia’s first indigenous president, Morales stood for president despite a 2016 referendum that voted down a proposal to allow him to run for a fourth consecutive term. A court packed with loyalists gave him a green light to run indefinitely.

“Given the overwhelming evidence we have found, we can confirm a series of malicious operations aimed at altering the will of the voters,” the OAS report said.

OAS findings included, “deliberate actions to manipulate the result of the election” that make it “impossible to validate” the official results, the report said.

Morales fled to Mexico shortly after the OAS’s initial report in early November.

He described the allegations of vote-rigging as a political hit, saying the OAS was “in the service of the North American empire”.

Bolivia’s congress in late November passed legislation to annul the contested elections and pave the way for a new vote without Morales.

The interim president, Jeanine Áñez, a former conservative lawmaker, has also pledged new elections.

At least 30 people have died in clashes between protesters and security forces since the 20 October election.

Most have died since Morales stepped down on 10 November.

Why didn’t they want a rerun? Hey kill over 30 people in under 30 days? It was a coup d’état

Plain simple you can hide the coup d’état against Evo with a sample of 4000 votes when it’s only .003% of the total we all know the samples are planted because the opposition burn the ballots with the rest of the votes to hide the gain Evo had obre his opposition. This is why they didn’t wanted a recount or even a re-election.

DNO, I am so happy you posted this news item. The same OAS concluded the election in Dominica was FREE and FAIR. Caricom and Commonwealth observers also said the election reflected the WILL OF THE PEOPLE of Dominica. So can we move on with this nonsense from Lennox and his losers that the election was stolen? Get over yourselves!!!! 18-3 is a massive beating. Get Lennox out as party leader, regroup and come better next election.

From the press conference we could get the sense that the OAS lead was pro government. If the OAS was represented by a neutral lead, the pending final report would these.ble that of Bolivia, the truth. Let’s wait for the final report.
