OECS Director-General congratulates Kyanna Dyer on MISS OECS victory

The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Commission has extended heartfelt congratulations to Dominica’s Kyanna Dyer, the newly crowned MISS OECS 2025.

Her impressive win took place on Friday, January 31. The prestigious event showcased the beauty, intelligence, and cultural heritage of contestants from Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Montserrat, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

The pageant was a stellar display of talent, with participants excelling in various segments, including creative national wear, talent presentations, and evening wear. Kyanna emerged victorious, earning the title of MISS OECS 2025 and the opportunity to serve as a regional ambassador for the empowerment and cultural pride of the OECS region. Her outstanding performances in creative national wear, swimwear, and evening wear catapulted her to the top spot.

The competition was fierce, with other contestants also receiving recognition for their talents. Timiqua B. Deterville from Saint Lucia was named First Runner-Up, taking home the titles of best performing talent and best in swimwear. Lisha Beache from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was awarded Second Runner-Up, winning the best interview response. Additionally, Mauricia Barzey from Montserrat received the Miss Visionary Award for the best promotional video, and Shania Samuel from Antigua and Barbuda was awarded Miss Amity for her warm connections with the other contestants.

Dr. Didacus Jules, Director General of the OECS Commission, expressed his admiration for the pageant, stating, “The MISS OECS Pageant continues to be a vibrant celebration of the talent, creativity, and cultural richness that define our region.” He went on to congratulate Kyanna Dyer for her win, and all the contestants for embodying the spirit of regional integration and empowerment.

As MISS OECS 2025, Kyanna Dyer will spend the next year advocating for regional integration and cultural development, inspiring youth across the OECS. The OECS Commission has expressed enthusiasm and support for this initiative, which promotes unity and collaboration among its Member States.
