The Apostolic Nuncio to the Antilles Episcopal Conference (AEC), H.E. Archbishop Fortunatuss Nwachukwu, is  strongly  urging the  people of Dominica to not take the beauty of their island and  the beauty of peace that they are enjoying, or any blessing of God, for granted.

Speaking in an interview on Dominica Catholic Radio, during his current visit to Dominica, the Pope’s representative to the AEC said “It doesn’t take much to destroy equilibrium  of the society”. He is calling on all Dominicans to “work hard to preserve the beauty of the island to preserve the gift of peace and harmony of the Dominican society”.

He says, If Dominica loses this equilibrium, it will affect everyone.

H.E. Archbishop Fortunatuss Nwachukwu refers to the Biafran civil war in his country of origin, Nigeria, when he was 7 years old, saying he would  not like any one or any child to go through such a heinous experience

He says,” Please those who have a role in leading the country – and everyone has a role, with a vote with a voice – please let everybody do everything possible to preserve the peace and harmony of the society and beauty of welcoming island”.

With Bishop Gabriel Malzaire and Monsignor William Jno. Lewis

The Apostolic Nuncio to the Antilles Episcopal Conference, H.E. Archbishop Fortunatuss Nwachukwu, accompanied by his Attache/Deputy Head of Mission, Fr. Luciano Labanca, arrived   in Dominica on Saturday September 28th.

On Monday, the apostolic Nuncio presented his letters of credence to His Excellency, President Charles A. Savarin, and copies to the Minister for Foreign Affairs.

The Papal Nuncio was the presider and homilist at Mass at the Cathedral Chapel of Our Lady of Fair Haven on Sunday 29th September.

During his visit, the Papal Nuncio will also visit some parishes  and meet with the Clergy and Religious of the Diocese of Roseau.

He is also scheduled to pay a courtesy visit to Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit and the Minister for Foreign Affairs as well as attend a dinner hosted by His Excellency the President.

The Apostolic Nuncio’s visit ends on October the 4th.

@Out of South city, it’s because of the Pope knowing what’s going on in Dominica that’s why this event at this time. I don’t believe it was a shot in the dark but a timely intervention to try and ameliorate the potential disaster which Skerritt is driving the country towards. First, there was the letter from the Pope calling for electoral reform and since Skerritt has announced he won’t implement electoral reforms, the Pope is taking a diplomatic approach and placing an emissary to continue working on averting Skerritt’s desired and egotistical desire to show he runs things. The Pope, by extension the Church knows very well what’s going on in the country. At the end of the day, Skerritt won’t have any leg to stand on because the same church which awarded him for the $500, 000 towards the cathedral reconstruction won’t go to bed with him when it comes to despotic leadership and slaughter of patriotic citizens.

Now that is what I call a very foolish production of a foolish mind!

To think that of all the inside issues that the Pope has to deal with, he classified Dominica’s issue of “electoral reform” as something important for him to personally look after is pure nonsense from the mind of nonsense. Realy!

Are you kidding me, in this day and age?
Not about the message, that speaks for itself. But the level of miseducation of Black men to go on to be bishops and all. Not because we lost the war that you take on the identity of your captors. We will bounce back but you need to educate yourselves. The number of Jews you’d find in hitler’s religion is miniscule, or nonexistent, simply because the Jews educate themselves on where they came from and who they really are. Simple… But this, I bet he has the portrait of the ‘white’ jesus ‘around his neck’. :?:
Oh ok it’s not a about color eh. SMFH
While you’re at it tell the pope to quit collecting and holding on to the people money, fix the church buildings, have a heart.

This is a message well directed to Dominica’s failed, incompetent Prime (Odd)
Minister, who is Failed incompetent Skerrit. Papal rightly states or says that:
“It doesn’t take much to destroy equilibrium of the society”. He is calling on all Dominicans to “work hard to preserve the beauty of the island to preserve the gift of peace and harmony of the Dominican society”. We also say that to preserve the decency of good governance of all states resources and rules according to the constitution.
He says, If Dominica loses this equilibrium, it will affect everyone.
Jut like a family home, the parents are the guardians and protectors of their children and families in general. Therefore the Papal is saying that we the
people of this Dominica must stand up to expect the best behavior and no Bobol, corruption from this failed, incompetent Prime (Odd Minister) and his failed highly corrupted Labour Government.

I hope The Papal Nuncio encourages the Prime Minister to do the honorable and responsible thing, and tell the people of Dominica where the 1.2 billion dollars is. All citizens want peace and tranquility in the country; so where is the Money?

Let us heed this advise to seek peace. We need a peace movement to prevent us from getting into civil war. All the signs are pointing to Dominicans killing each other for political reasons. This almost happened in Jamaica except for the intervention of Bob Marley. It almost happened in Dominica except Patrick John instructed his supporters to stand down.
Already P M Skerrit is asking for unity as civil disobedience is being pursuit by some.
At this stage we should all pray for peace to avoid experience a man made disaster. We prayed for protection from hurricane this season and Jesus answered and defended us from 12 hurricanes three of which were cat 5. So its time to pray to our God of peace.

All of these Institutions are headed by one man, the pope. That man has too much power over peoples’ lives. Religion and politics go hand in hand. He is sending his troop to Dominica because of the election that is soon approaching and some Dominicans are receiving these men with open arms. These men don’t know what is going on in Dominica but yet still they are here to give advice to some people whose minds are controlled by religion.
IT IS A SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS in Dominica. We need to be free from all forms of religion that continue to DIVIDE us as a nation. Also, it seems like some peoples’ minds are so closed up that they are blinded to what the political arena is about.
WAKE UP PEOPLE and stop letting men be in control of your lives. “EMANCIPATE YOUR SELF FROM MENTAL SLAVERY.”(Brother Bob Marley

He says, If Dominica loses this equilibrium, it will affect everyone–news article

That is what those who are desperate to have power and authority are not taking heed of.

They are talking love for Dominica; wanting to do things for the sake of the people; etcetera, except that their plan is to satisfy their selfish ego.

And as they strive for that satisfaction, they are threatening to destroy the peace and harmony that we have in our country

They think that they are after one man, who is better off, much, much more than anyone of us in Dominica, but by the time they would be through destroying him, they would have destroyed the whole country and the mind of the people.

I pray to You, O God! Please forbid that zeal of the enemy! Let them know that You are the Primary control over all the Nations,–Dominica as well. And whatever is initiated, will be by Your command; and without You, man and his selfish works will always crumble down.

      Mrs Xavier,

Please don’t allow these to fool you. Dominica has lost its equilibrium already. She needs to regain it. Roosvelt Skerrit is a Equilibrium “mashopper”.

Look at Dominica and tell me if we have not lost it.,

Listen, your support for the man is unfounded, nonspiritual, illogicality, and foolish.

Amen. The uwp gang with their negative attitude when it comes to spiritual matters are unable to understand a thing.
Their negativity prevents them from comprehending aspects of human nature ; physical, educational, mental or spiritual.
They remain in the past as hunters and gathers. They cannot recognize that we are in the post modern era.
Dominica will never move forward with their regressive mentality. If they ever gain the political majority, we are doomed.

There can be no peace without justice..Stop using the church to try to stifle democracy. It won’t work anymore..Why dont you ask the electoral commission to ensure they give electoral reform? And cleanse the voters list also? By your utterance uve proven urself bias to the disaster that’s leading this country..There will be civil disobedience without electoral reform and the return of our 1.2b dollars simple.
Dominica will always be beautiful once righteousness reigns.GOD BLESS DOMINICA.

Hey Skerritt, this message is directed at you, chief Carbon and the goon squad. You are being cautioned again. Let me also echo the previous wise words of Pope Francis on implementing electoral reforms before the upcoming general elections. El Supremo, you have been warned.

Thank you H.E. Archbishop Fortunatuss Nwachukwu for your words of wisdom.
I do hope our President and Prime Minister take deed.

The quizzical look on President Savarin’s face insinuates: I hear what you say, but Skerrit “runs things in Dominica”, and I must agree with whatever he says, even if it destroys the equilibrium of our society, because he provides my bread and butter.
