The Dominica Athletics Association (DAA) has officially announced Pinehill as its Wellness Partner for the 2026 athletics season, emphasizing the importance of athlete well-being.
This partnership, was arranged through Belfast Estate Ltd., demonstrates a mutual dedication to empowering youth, promoting healthy living, and fostering sporting achievement, said a DAA press release. As the designated Wellness Partner, Pinehill will contribute to various DAA programs throughout 2026, focusing on areas such as nutrition, education, competition, and athlete preparedness.
The release further indicated that prominent feature of this alliance is the Pinehill NEXTGEN Champions Workshop, a key educational initiative aimed at Dominica’s top junior athletes. The program prepares young competitors for significant regional and international events, including the CARIFTA Games, NACAC Under-18 and Under-23 Championships, World Junior Championships, and Youth Olympic Games.
Furthermore, Pinehill will hold the naming rights for one of the DAA’s major annual events, the Pinehill National Junior Championships 2026, scheduled for April 19, 2026.
The DAA reports that its yearly schedule includes a variety of national competitions and developmental activities designed to engage athletes at all levels, from grassroots participants to elite competitors. With this partnership, Pinehill will be involved throughout the 2026 season, advocating for a wellness culture that extends beyond the athletic arena into everyday life for athletes.
“We are delighted to welcome Pinehill as the Official Wellness Partner of the Dominica Athletics Association for 2026. This collaboration strengthens how we support athletes beyond competition, through education, wellness, and personal development, ensuring they are equipped to succeed on and off the track, ” DAA President Mr. Brendan Williams expressed.
Representing Pinehill, Mrs. Jasmine Hamilton acknowledged the company’s strong commitment to advancing sports in Dominica and prioritizing athlete well-being. She conveyed optimism regarding Pinehill’s engagement as the official Wellness Partner for 2026.
The Dominica Athletics Association also extended sincere gratitude to Pinehill and Dominica Brewery and Beverages Ltd. for their support and shared vision in promoting athletics and youth development within the country.
Its a damn shame that we dont even have a significant local brand that can “partner” with the Athletics Association. What does this partnership entail? More importation of Pinehill products? While our local citrus industry looks on from the sidelines? I understand that its just business though.
All well and good, but in the meantime our home grown 100% citrus goes to waste.
Twelve years ago, at the request of the EU, I prepared a proposal for processing and bottling Dominica’s citrus harvest, but to no avail.
