Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has extended sincere condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of Mr. Linton Morvan who passed away suddenly on Sunday.
“I would like to extend our sincere condolences and sympathies to the family of Linton Morvan,” he said while addressing parliament on Monday. “Linton Morvan is originally from Clifton [and] lived in Savanne Paille. I want to extend [condolences] to his wife Esther, a long-standing friend of mine for so many years and his two daughters and to the entire family.”
Skerrit explained that on the day Morvan passed, he along with his family, lit the “Joy Candle” at church for Advent, and moments later his family was suffering from heartache.
According to Skerrit he has known Morvan for about 30 years and he has assisted the government tremendously during the preparations of the International Airport.
“And it’s going to be very difficult to replace somebody like him,” he stated.
Skerrit added, “Life is so fragile and sometimes we all in our personal reflection ask ourselves what do we fight about?”
Meanwhile, through a Facebook post, the Parish Priest Fr. Paul and the Parishioners of St John and St Lewis Parish also extend condolences to the family of Mr. Morvan.
Morvan was the brother-in-law of Parliamentary Representative of the Cottage Constituency and Minister of Agriculture, Roland Royer.
Sincere condolences to the family of Linton Morvan. May he rest in peace.
Rest Easy my bro, fair winds and clear sky. You will surely will be missed. Deepest condolences to friends, family and loved ones. Yessi Jah!
So very sorry to hear this. Deepest condolences to the Esther, the children, friends and loved ones. May you rest in peace.
My condolences to Esther, Pearlisa , Latifa , Leroy and other members of Linton’s family. I am still shocked by the news. This is a man I have had many conversations with and I knew his head was in the right place. God never makes mistakes so he knows exactly why he called Classic home so early. Rest in peace my friend. I’ll certainly miss the long intellectual conversations that we use to have.
Condolences to the family.
