Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit recently engaged with a technical team from China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), who are presently in Dominica for preliminary evaluations related to the upcoming Northern Road Improvement Project. The OPM’s Facebook outlined that this meeting took place as part of the preparations for a significant infrastructure upgrade aimed at enhancing the road network along the Portsmouth to Hatton Garden corridor.
The project, which is being financed by the Government of the People’s Republic of China, encompasses extensive road rehabilitation works. Its elements include the construction of new bridges and culverts, slope stabilization efforts, widening of the existing road, and the addition of retaining walls to improve stability and safety.
According to the OPM, during the visit, Prime Minister Skerrit was accompanied by China’s Ambassador to Dominica, H.E. Chu Maoming, alongside representatives from the Chinese construction firm. Together, they walked along various sections of the northern route, allowing the team to conduct their initial assessments of the site in preparation for the upcoming development activities.

The PM is dining and wining with the Chinese concerning road project but is he aware of the number of young men having to leave Dominica just to find work to feed themself and their families ?? Not even mentioning those doing drugs just to survive… Where is the work and well paid work for our young men …
Not only that La Dominique,anybody who live in the great USA will know in EVERY state there is a CHINA town.One of the biggest is CANAL street in New York.Had it not been for the CHINESE fried chicken and fried rice a number of Dominicans would go hungry in America.In Dominica if it were NOT for the CHINESE a number of Dominicans would be unemployed.A lot of UWP supporters would be naked with their B**** hanging.When you see them CHINESE clothes they wearing,but they want to criticize Chinese,SOT.All UWP supporters can do is run their stupid mouth,Bwa-Banday,Ibo France,dissident,Him,Hmmmm and the one living on Skid Row in Los Angeles,Francisco DOGG.They do not know how to win an election,lazy do nothing Jacks.

Considering de length of time in power………enough of our young Dominicans are expert engineers right here and all over de world involved in similar and higher expertise civil works but our little country have to raise China flag first……remember dat. works will be ongoing during the next election for good reason to benefit Skerrit and his nexr bid for office
do not be surprised if/when we see Chinese investments along these routes as well
study who de will be de hand-picked local engineers who will work under de chinese
I notice no mention of the presence of Dominican engineers from the ministry of works or even engineers sided with DLP. When we look to give credit U KNOW WHO WILL BE AT DE PODIOM GRINNING HIS TEETH.

Seriously a little island like Dominica………I am certain that we have local engineers with de qualified expertise for Civil Engineering works of this nature.
when we go to China to my mind we get more than their expertise…but we do not get to make de money.

Dominican men look like they are ok with another man feeding thier children and having his way with thier wives. Skerrit is meeting with the financers of the labour party that help keep him in power. After 20years of China financed projects we have still not gotten independent to the point where the state has generated enough wealth and growth to build in its own image and likeness? With the billions in construction why are young men in possie not gainfully employed instead of killing each other? why is there still an NEP program that does not seem to help our GDP? why have we gone from several banks to one? why are we still selling citizenship to give to a select few? what is China getting in return? they sure not doing out of love for Blackman? why have we not built capacity to engineering our own roads after we spent millions to send youth to colleges? Seems like elections are near and China is at it again to help prop up thier favored puppet in the Caribbean. they have already taken over business in possi and roseau. Treacherous!
Bruh this is not just Dominica. It’s practically the entire Caribbean and a good bit of Africa. If you beleive we’re in China’s pocket just take a look at Jamaica. This is bigger than Skerrit. And if you think this would change with a change of government, keep dreaming💤🛌.
