PM to attend CARICOM, CELAC gatherings next week

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit is set to participate in the Forty-Sixth Regular Meeting of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Heads of Government in Georgetown, Guyana, spanning from February 25th to 28th, 2024.

This gathering will place significant emphasis on pivotal regional issues, including food and nutrition security, advancements in regional transportation, climate change mitigation, and the crucial aspect of climate financing. Moreover, global and hemispheric affairs, particularly developments in the Middle East, will also feature prominently on the agenda.

Among the key topics slated for discussion during the meeting are the ongoing challenges in Haiti and the progress update on the decision to facilitate free movement for all Caribbean Community nationals.

Following his engagements in Guyana, Prime Minister Skerrit will journey to St. Vincent and the Grenadines for the 8th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) on March 1st, 2024. This summit is poised to delve into strategies aimed at fortifying CELAC’s role while fostering sustainable development across the Latin American and Caribbean regions.

During Prime Minister Skerrit’s absence, Honourable Dr. Irving McIntyre, Minister for Finance, Economic Development, Climate Resilience, and Social Security, will assume the role of Acting Prime Minister.

Does the man ever stay home to run the country like he is being paid to do?

All I will say here is, the very same treatment the ex Hon Regional Austrie, told us to give to the then opposition leader Hon Lennox Linton, should be visited on the neg above. Maybe even CARICOM member states should help us. DNO please don’t delete me on the basis of incitement because I simply said what Hon Reggie Austrie says and in the eyes of the police, government and friends of the party what Reggie called on supporters to do was not inciting violence or anything bad because no one called him out or arrested him

What can this artificial, double doctorate dimwit contribute to a meeting of this nature? This meeting is not about cursing and berating your opponents. It is not about giving long meandering, vacuous answers to simple questions.

Roosevelt’s presence at these high profile conferences is of no moment. His attendance is for him to get a much-needed respite from the multiplicity of challenges currently besetting the country.

What can you yourself contribute and what have you contributed to the development of Dominica? Nothing but talk and write garbage as usual. You write like you so care about Dominicans. Please. Man, go take a cold shower. Your ridiculing of the PM has no effect on him or his supporters. We stand tall and strong in the face of it all. We are a resilient people.

The law enforcement officials of One of the CARICOM members should arrest this man for crimes against his people. Anything short of that is a waste of time and taxpayers money
