Police in Antigua and Barbuda are on the search for two men who shot a law enforcement officer multiple times on Monday morning
Around 1:30 AM on Monday, May 26, Constable Travon Giddings was responding to a report at a nightclub located on Potter’s Main Road when he was shot multiple times by an unknown assailant.
The officer sustained gunshot wounds to both legs, along with other injuries, and is currently receiving medical treatment. His injuries are not considered life-threatening, and he is reported to be in stable condition.
The suspects involved in this incident are considered to be armed and dangerous.
This is sad. When law enforcement officers are targeted by criminals the country has hit a new low.
In Antigua, shootings are too blatant, disappearances too frequent, robberies too common place, the country is fast becoming ungovernable. The saddest thing is that those in authority seem to be completely clueless to stop this train wreck.
