The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) is seeking the assistance of the general public, more specifically the people residing in the Warner and Belles area, in finding 12-year-old Kernisha Etienne who was abducted from a home at Warner last evening.
In a statement to the media, Assistant Superintendent in charge of the Southern Division, Leana Edwards, reported that on Tuesday 7, June, 2022, at about 11:30 p.m. Etienne was abducted by “suspected lunatic”, Kian Alexander, male adult of Belles.
Edwards said that in committing the offence, Alexander went to the home of his uncle, Laurent Joseph Bruno, and attacked him with a cutlass inflicting serious wounds to his head and face.
“Thereafter, he abducted 12-year-old Kernisha Etienne, the adopted daughter of Laurent Joseph Bruno, and disappeared with her into the bushes of Warner. Laurent Joseph Bruno was transported in a conscious state to the Dominica China Friendship Hospital (DCFH) for medical attention,” the Police Superintendent stated.
According to Edwards, an extensive search is being conducted by the police and residents of Warner for the 12-year-old and her abductor.
Edwards issued an appeal to anyone with information to call Police Headquarters at 6115100 6115158 6115165 and 6115164.

The longer it takes to find this loving, little child, Kernisha, the chances of finding her alive rapidly diminish. No resources of the state should be spared in trying to save her if she still has the breath of life.
For the last two mornings, on rising from my sleep, the first thing on my mind is whether or not little Kenosha was found. Each time there is no positive news I try to keep hope alive, but inevitably I am overcome with sadness and anxiety.
One last thing I wish to mention. This sad incident should bring focus on our children. They are extremely vulnerable and should be protected and cared for like a lioness protects and cares for her cubs. These creatures would die protecting their young.
The last thing I will say about this sad situation is, this child picture should have never been posted online because she’s a minor. It’s not like you are looking for a missing dog and you need to show the color and breed. I would not have posted it. What good has it done? The age of the child would have been enough. She has been out longer than she could survive under such man. If this man is found alive just castrate him from shaft and balls.
They are quite happy to post pictures of the victims but very seldom post pictures of the offenders, in particular not when they in possession of the DLP party bible second edition, volume3 from 2008.

…where is the picture of the alleged kidnapper? Where is it? In case one of us see him…? Could it perhaps be the case that he is a DLP supporter and as such has immunity? This entire police search is one of those famous SMOKE SCREENS which can be experienced in our country on a daily basis. It’s utterly disgusting.
The child who needs it cannot speak for herself. God blesses you with 2 drones – help the child! You don’t have to wait for someone to ask you – offer your service. A child’s life is in danger and you want someone to ask you? Let the attention be on the child that needs the help. People!

This incident should propel mental illness to the fore. Too many homeless and mentally unsound people are aimlessly roaming the streets. Much more can and should be done in an effort to try and rehabilitate these people.
The government, relatives, and civil society should combine their efforts in getting this ballooning number of vagrants in a proper institution as they are a present and growing threat to society while left up to themselves to make their homes on the streets.

Calling on all who are amateur aeriel videographers with drones to join the search in a coordinated effort with the police, bringing their drone resources to bear… Have an aeriel grid-style search from the Warner crime scene going outwards (in radius). Details on what clothes the culprit was wearing should be provided too..
On the lighter side ….. Just be careful if Symbort gwan-movement or Whiteless the criminal is on scene playing heavy because the may think is them you droning for the americans

But seriously, everyone with a drone or knowledge of the area should be in Warner or Campbell right now searching for that child. I am headed to the area but will need company to form a search party.
