Police are investigating what appears to be a suicide in Canefield East.
According to reports from police, a young man identified as 16-year-old Kai Brumant of Canefield East was found with gunshot wounds to his head at about 2:30 AM today, Friday 30, 2025.

Just a couple of weeks ago a young male citizen allegedly ended his life by suicide. Now a similar ghastly occurrence..
The question is why are our young males ending their lives premeditatedly? The last thing a person loses is hope. Life must have been hopelessly insufferable for this demographic ( young male population).
While the Lying Roosevelt and his groupies paint a heavenly picture in Dominica.The reality on the ground is 180° opposite.

There are no social programs in place for young people with mental issues or stress. The extremely harsh economic conditions where children and households could hardly consume one meal per day. These things lead to desperation.
