Police search for missing Grandbay teen

News Reaching Dominica News Online (DNO) indicates that 15-year-old Uriel Matthew of Grandbay who attends the Pierre Charles Secondary School (PCSS) has been reported missing.

According to police sources, a report was made to the Grandbay Police Station at about midday on Saturday, March 15, 2025, stating that she left with a backpack with her clothes.

Reports further stated that the teen left a note in her bedroom saying she was going where she was loved and appreciated.

Information suggests she is on the island in a hidden location in a residential area.

DNO will follow this story and provide more details in a later publication.

    Let us all hope that common sense prevails over anger and Uriel gets hold of herself and return to a home filled with love, comfort and understanding this time around.

    Adolescence is usually a turbulent time in the relationship between child and parent. Hope both parents and daughter will receive the necessary help (counseling) they need to amend and foster a much more loving, harmonious and gratifying relationship.
