Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, during a working visit. The discussions underscored a mutual dedication to strengthening the bilateral relationship, with particular emphasis on expanding collaboration in areas such as trade, economic development, agriculture, tourism, and cultural exchanges, stated the Office of the Prime Minister via its Facebook page.

An article in the Khmer Times shared more details, indicating that the Prime Minister’s visit to Cambodia marked the conclusion of a three-day official trip, coinciding with the milestone 15th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations. Throughout the visit, Skerrit engaged in meetings with Cambodia’s Acting Head of State, Hun Sen, and Prime Minister Hun Manet, where he reportedly commended Cambodia’s ongoing development and reaffirmed a shared commitment to cooperation across various sectors, including trade, investment, tourism, and diplomacy.
The Cambodian publication said that Skerrit, receiving a warm welcome from both leaders, expressed admiration for Cambodia’s progressive growth and voiced confidence that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet, the country would continue its path of prosperity and advancement.

Discussions also revisited the March 2023 official visit of Vince Henderson, Dominica’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Business, Trade, and Energy, to Cambodia. The leaders reaffirmed their dedication to deepening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation in cultural exchange and people-to-people connections. These commitments were outlined in a statement issued by Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
As outlined in the write-up, both parties agreed to maintain mutual support in regional and international forums, including within the United Nations framework. Additionally, Skerrit announced his support for Cambodia’s candidacies to the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICS-ICH) for the 2026–2030 term and to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) for 2028–2030.

During a Friday meeting, Hun Sen expressed gratitude for Skerrit’s visit, highlighting it as a testament to the strong friendship and cooperation between the two nations. He emphasized the importance of ongoing engagement to identify new avenues for collaboration that would benefit both peoples, said the Khmer Times.
Furthermore, Hun Manet and Skerrit witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the establishment of bilateral consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Cambodia and Dominica. Both sides encouraged the prompt implementation of this mechanism to facilitate cooperation across all relevant sectors, aiming to solidify their partnership and explore new opportunities for mutual benefit.
Remarking on the significance of the trip, the Dominica OPM’s Facebook post stated, “Dominica continues to strengthen its global partnerships and expand its diplomatic footprint as we work toward the development of our people and country.”

Let him joy ride, when he was building Dominica with his blood, sweat and tears where were you, lazy man you are.
Never saw a comment from you about the murder of thousands of innocent, men, women and children by the United States and Israel, you are a bloody hypocrite
This is just a convenient excuse to go joy riding. With the economy in the doldrums, a prudent leader will be very circumspect how the finances of the state is utilized.
The whole of Dominica – teachers, nurses, lawyers, pastors, business people, journalists, the whole civil services – are unperturbed. Dominica is a country of docile, bootlicking sheep so we have gotten a government of hyenas and vultures.
you mean the same Cambodian leader who sent his troops to invade Thailand earlier this year
