Protesters shut down French St. Martin, issues relating to PPRN.

The blockages started off in Sandy Ground and Agrement which led to severe traffic back-ups. The protest then moved to several sections of the French Quarter, the deviation road was blocked at first preventing any flow of traffic towards Marigot and into French Quarter, later the protestors blocked R-N 7 entering French Quarter.

A hearse that was on its way to recover a deceased person was denied access as the few protesters that gathered in the French Quarter prevented passage.

President of the Collectivity Daniel Gibbs called on residents to calm down and not to destroy properties in the name of anger.

Hey Casio, Eagle-Eyed is a University Graduate. I don’t think you can use the word ‘idiot’ and ‘University graduate’ in the same context. Can you? Anyway, if you click on the ‘read more’ tag at the bottom of the article it will take you to the rest of the article where it mentioned the use of tear gas by the Gendarmes. In case you didn’t know, ‘Gendarme’ is the term used for French Police in French speaking countries and some European countries.

Hey %, I’m liberal and believe in peaceful protest when there’s a legitimate cause but peaceful protests should not prevent other members of the public going about their business unhindered by blocking roads, setting fires, damaging other people property or intimidating others not supporting your cause. The beating you guys took at the polls should tell you who were the ‘jack azzes’ you mentioned.
