PWA to nominate new executive next week

Chairman of the Police Welfare Association (PWA) Sergeant David Andrew (Jr.) has announced that the association will convene a special general meeting next Wednesday to nominate a new executive.

“The police welfare association convened a special general meeting to nominate members to form the new executive,” he said during a statement. “ Six members were nominated at this meeting to contest the election, having that seven-member who were already nominated through the usual nomination process.”

He continued, “So we will see an election of 13 members contesting to form the new nine-member executive.”

The PWA is an association which consists of all members of the Police Force below the rank of Assistant Superintendent, which acts through the Executive Committee.

The Committee’s duty is to make representations regarding all matters affecting the general welfare and efficiency of the Police Force as a whole.

I do not understand that Jack Donk. Before UWP there was a brotherhood,a togetherness and esprit de corps in the police force. The police fought the dreads in the 70s.In 1983 they went to Grenada as members of the Caribbean Peace-keeping Force.Later they went to Haiti. In those days Dominica a peaceful island, untill UWP won the 1995 general election. The first thing the did was to launch an investigation into the operation of the police force.Uwp used special Branch to give false evidence and in the process they maliciously dismissed the police chief Desmond Blanchard and his deputy Hansel Valarie, accused of corruption and dealing in drugs.Mr.Blanchard was replaced by Mr.Simon Darroux, and Mr.Valarie was replaced by Mr.Clement Pierrelouis. In the history of the Dominica police force,UWP is the only political party to put their finger inside the force looking for prostate. The police would be dunce not to know where their interests lie.UWP deycallay the police force and the country.Disclaimer.

Until the officers of the CDPF execute their duties without fear or favour, the organisation will be regarded as just a lapdog group of thugs that exists to serve the whims and fancies of one dishonest, corrupt, congenital, notorious Lying buffoon – Roosevelt.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 4 Thumb down 12
