The introduction of a ‘Recovery Station’ and a ‘Hair and Makeup Touch-up Station’ will form part of the new experiences for the staging of Rize & Whine (Infinite Ent. 767) event this year.
This was according to Stephen Lander from the Organizing Committee of Rize N Whine who was delivering remarks at the Dominica Festivals Committee (DFC) weekly press conference on Wednesday.
The event which will be held at the Botanic Gardens on Sunday, October 23, from 3 AM forms part of the fringe events prior to the staging of the World Creole Music Festival (WCMF) scheduled for October 28-30, 2022. These fringe events encourage visitors to experience Dominica’s independence season and the various entertainment and cultural attractions of the island.
“Every year we always try to do something new and exciting, so one of our new experiences we will be introducing and being mindful that the ladies take a lot of time and put a lot of effort into getting ready to come to this party, ladies we will have for you a hair and makeup touch-up station absolutely free,” Lander said. “So you spend a lot of time getting it together and we are going to help you keep it together while you party.”
He continued, “And Rize & Whine is a very wholesome experience, I know people immerse themselves into having a good time. It starts at 3AM, [so] you may be a little bit tired, some people party even before coming to Rize & Whine, so guess what we have? We have a recovery station, so if you are feeling a little down or you feel you need a little rest or a pick-me-up, check out our recovery station.”
Lander added, “We will have some vitamins there to get you revitalized and ready to party again.”
He said this year patrons will be given an experience they will remember for a long time.
Lander pointed out that performances will come from some local and regional artistes.
Adam O will be the headline soca artiste. Other artistes include Travis World and Major Penny, a DJ duo from Trinidad & Tobago, TK Combo, and Ryan Sayeed who is a Caribbean native based in Miami.
Other DJs will include Legendary DJ Cut, DJ Snow, DJ Spawner, Major Mystic, and Unstoppable DJs
The event will be hosted by Patrick Anthony, the ‘Hypeman’.
Tickets cost $150 and can be purchased at Depex Color Lab or from any of the Infinite Ent. 767 team members.

Hello and good afternoon my people. I left Dominica in 1968 and Have been coming back since 2008 but I never voted in Dominica. Whenever I return I respect the laws and which ever government our people elect. I come home to visit my family and enjoy my place of birth which is sweet Dominica. We just need better transportation to come home. We need our own airline to pick up our people from Antigua and St Thomas in that way we cover England and American passengers. All we need is four planes with six weekly flights.
Haitians voting on your behalf Tony.
Ha… early bird catches the worm
Hello and good afternoon my people. You all are telling us about events but we can’t even get a flight from New York City to Dominica. Where are the flights.
Sorry Tony but it’s 2022 & Dominica STILL doesn’t have an international airport
