Police have confirmed that the main road in Salisbury is blocked preventing the flow of vehicular traffic in the area.
The video shows several stones piled up on the side of the road in different locations and the burning of debris.
Dominica News Online (DNO) also understands that last night the police unsuccessfully attempted to search the residence in Salisbury of the former MP for that constituency, Hector John.

The police does not have to deal with criminals in Salisbury.They must go to Portsmouth or Roseau.The police should compile a list of names and apply for arrest warrants.Every police station island wide should be informed,anybody on the list should be detained and held for 3 days.The criminals should be detained outside Salisbury.Anytime they leave Salisbury detain them proceeding by summons will not work.

Senseless act which can only result in one outcome. Confrontation with the police. Is this what you really want? What is the objective here? You’re setting yourself up for problems with the authorities. Anyone who tells you that it is a good idea to block the road, more so without an alternate route available is not looking out for your best interest. Run as far as you can from those persons for you will be left on your own when the government comes looking for you. Be smart and don’t allow persons with selfish motives use you to further their causes. Too many “small” persons believe they can do as they please so they use the unsuspecting and vulnerable persons in our midst to further their causes. Don’t fall for it.
Unlawful action should never be used or encouraged while pressuring the authorities to make the changes you so long for. Use the appropriate and proven methods to achieve those goals.

Well my friend the members of the opposition seem to be fed up with police intimidation and harrassment. The police have a lot of work to do, because they have no good training or leadership.
Have you ever heard about civil disobedience? Martin Luther King Jr. used civil disobedience to get changes to systemic racism laws. Blame corrupt Roosevelt and his posse of parasitic enablers.
Martin Luther King’s approach was always one of non violence.Many of his supporters did not approve of his method, they wanted to use violence but he was always able to keep them in check. You cannot advocate or support something that’s unlawful and that’s the bottom line. There is nothing wrong with people voicing their opinions but do so peacefully. When you start throwing rocks and bottles at the police, you are not helping your cause but rather hurting what you’re trying to accomplish.
