The Rotary Club of Dominica, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, is set to host the 10th Annual National Secondary Schools Literacy Quiz Competition on March 28, 2024.
According to a Rotary Club statement, this engaging event will take place in the Prevost Cinemall Conference room at 2:30 PM. The competition centers around the theme “Building Strong Communities through Literacy,” aiming to inspire young individuals to engage in Rotary International’s global literacy initiatives, promote cognitive development, enhance learning, and foster a passion for reading.
Schools competing in this year’s event include St. Mary’s Academy, Orion Academy, Castle Bruce Secondary School, Northeast Comprehensive School, Isaiah Thomas Secondary, Wesley High School, and St. Martin Secondary School.
“The Rotary Club of Dominica extends sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, principals, teachers, participants and their parents, for their dedication and hard work which contributes to the success of the quiz competition every year. Special thanks are also extended to our generous sponsors.
As usual, the event promises to be highly competitive and exciting and will be broadcast live via radio and social media. The public is encouraged to tune in to support the students,” concluded the statement.
