Sean “Diddy” Combs has been found guilty on two charges related to prostitution but was acquitted of the more serious allegations of sex trafficking and racketeering.

An AP News article stated that the verdict was reached after approximately 13 and a half hours of deliberation over three days.

Combs, aged 55, faced multiple charges, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation for the purpose of prostitution. The widely-watched trial began with jury selection on May 12, 2025.

Prosecutors had previously dropped certain charges, such as attempted arson and kidnapping, to focus on the racketeering conspiracy.

The article also reports that while the conviction on the prostitution-related counts could result in a prison sentence of up to ten years, the jury’s decision spared him from the more severe charges that could have led to life imprisonment.

The outcome of the case leaves the future of Combs’s career uncertain, likely ending his roles as a music executive, fashion entrepreneur, brand ambassador, and reality television personality, stated AP News.

The judge has indicated that he will need additional time to decide whether to grant Combs bail. Prosecutors have announced plans to pursue incarceration for Combs, given the conviction on the two counts.

How could they expect to convict him when all the witnesses were giving interviews to the press before the trial even begun
The jury was tainted even before the trial. And all those people who testified against hi, went there willingly and got paid to do there thing now they want to jump on the band wagon .

This whole case is so complicated! I really hope he takes this as a wake-up call and figures things out because it’s gonna affect his future big time!

They threw the kitchen sink, refrigerator and garbage disposal at Diddy but it appears that when it is all said and done, the can (jail) opener will be the only gadget he uses.

Despite the prostitution team’s access to unlimited resources and best efforts ‘Diddy” was found not guilty on the most serious charges.

I am no fan or supporter of Mr. Sean Combs, in fact, I thin he is a despicable person. However, on the lesser charges that he was convicted of, my honest opinion, he should be given time served. He has lost his freedom for some time, his reputation has been irreparably ruined, his material worth has taken a huge hit, his ability to resume his lucrative craft has been greatly diminished, what would additional incarceration serve?

@Ibo, I must say that I initially had a hard time wrapping my mind and emotions around the geest of your comment; however, after some honest and sensible assessment, I found what you said right on point.

Afterall, the prosecution sold this case legally, emotionally and publically based on the presumption of a preponderance of dastardly and diabolical charges and evidence.

Ultimately, inspite of all the hype and extreme raw emotions generated, the highly paid prosecution could only muster a return of guilty on the two lesser charges.
