The 2nd Annual Dominica Bike Festival 2025 was officially launched on Tuesday.
Hundreds of local, regional, and international bikers are gearing up to participate in the three-day event scheduled for July 25-27.
Day one of the event will be dubbed “The Iron Man Drag Day” in memory of the late Pat Henry, who lost his life in a motorcycle accident earlier this year. Day two: ‘Wheel N And Wild N Bike Exhibition’ and day three: ‘West Coast Ride Out’.
More bikers than average are expected to participate in this year’s event.
“I have seen how events such as these–Dominica Bike Festival–it provides more than entertainment, it energizes economies, it empowers entrepreneurs and and brings communities together,” Festivals and Events Manager of Discover Dominica Authority (DDA), Ayodele Andrew said while addressing the launching ceremony held at the Canefield Airport on Tuesday.
According to her, this festival is about the thrill of the ride and the movement it creates off the track.
“We expect to see hundreds of visitors, not only the bikers, but their fans, enthusiasts, adrenaline junkies like myself from across Dominica, the region, and the world coming in for this bike festival in Dominica,” Andrew stated. “This means that our guest houses will be filled, our hotels, restaurants will be busy, our vendors will have an increase in sales, our taxis will be booked, and service providers from various sectors will all be engaged.”
She said every dollar spent next weekend will help keep doors open and dreams alive.
Beyond the economic benefit, Andrew noted that there is something even more powerful: “community pride, and with that pride comes responsibility.”
Andrew reminded bikers as well as motorists that safety is number one.
“Ride hard but ride safe…,” she encouraged. “Protective gear is not an option, it is essential.”
She added, “We want every rider to make great memories, not mistakes. And to all the festival goers, let us respect the safety guidelines. Follow the signs, listen to the marshalls, listen to the police, and help us create an atmosphere where everyone feels secure.”

Crazy to think the most disrespectful, dangerous, careless set of motorist is being paraded to such a degree. The biggest nuisance on the road is a bike man but it have bike fete. Ask if those bike licened and insured Tanto tanto.
i see nothing educational of this so call bike fest , what are the youths learning from this and what revenue and full time employment does this bring to the country
So Dominica’s not really a Nature Island after all. Nonsense Island is more appropriate.
