In addition, the CDU congratulated Dr. The Most Hon. Andrew Holness, who has been elected Prime Minister and is the leader of the JLP, praising what it termed “his stellar leadership throughout this campaign and
his continued service to the people of Jamaica. ”
The union highlighted his ongoing commitment to the Jamaican people and his role in steering the nation through significant economic reforms, bolstering democratic institutions, and making tangible improvements in citizens’ daily lives—an achievement they recognize as instrumental to the recent electoral success.
The statement from the CDU underscores that the decisive electoral outcome signals the Jamaican people’s endorsement of the country’s continued progress and development. It emphasizes that this victory is not just a win for the JLP but also a source of pride for all advocates of democracy, prosperity, and liberty across the Caribbean region.
Looking ahead, the CDU reaffirmed its steadfast support and solidarity with the JLP as the party prepares to undertake its new term in office.
“We wish Prime Minister Elect Holness, his team, and the Jamaican people continued success and development as they work together to build a brighter future for their nation,” outlined the CDU.
