On behalf of the Government and people of the Commonwealth of Dominica, and on behalf of Mr. Burton and myself, I extend heartiest congratulations to His Holiness Leo XIV on His election on the 8th day of May 2025, as the new Pope of the Roman Catholic Church, after two (2) days of voting in the Conclave. I wish to further congratulate His Holiness on being the first Pope born in the United States of America and the 267th Successor of Saint Peter. I am happy, proud and honored to convey congratulatory remarks not only in my capacity as Head of State but also as a devout Catholic and Lay Associate in Pastoral Care.
I was imbued with joy and pride witnessing this very historic moment and global Conclave and to be part of the celebration and joy that unfolded in such organized order and precision before the whole world.
I am certain that His Holiness will continue to champion the cause of the poor and most vulnerable among us, and will be a voice that speaks of love, peace and justice, charity, unity, humility and dialogue, in this troubled world.
As a global figure with a wealth of knowledge and many talents, I have no doubt that His Holiness will continue the work of His Predecessors with diligence and dedication, and the relations that exist between the Commonwealth of Dominica and the Holy See will be further strengthened under His leadership.
I pray for the continued outpouring of God’s grace, peace, courage, strength, tolerance and wisdom upon Him as He discharges the tremendous responsibilities that He has been tasked with.
May His papacy be a long and fruitful one.
I really don’t blame the lady, because we all should know when someone is being used of another person. So I can see by her facial expression that she’s not altogether comfortable in her position. What is she, by the way? Anyway, let’s go easy on her it’s not her fault.

The conclave that elected the new Pope Leo was made up of 70 countries. Officially, there are 195 countries in the world. Thus, the conclave that elected the pope was by no means a “global Conclave”. That aside, the whole gist of the statement starting with the lengthy first sentence leaves one with the impression that Her Excellency needs a new Speech Writer. Urgently.

Yes, you are factually correct. Your statement is indisputable. Only those who handcuff themselves to lies and partisan politics will contest the truthfulness of your assertion.
The President has encountered power an influence. She should set it to do good for her country and countrymen at all times. Dominica is presently spiralling to the abyss. Murders, lawlessness, joblessness, corrup tion, diseases, poverty and political turmoil are weighing down the country. Alarmingly, the President is deafeningly silent and completely indifferent to all these detrimental challenges.
The lady is a colossal misfit, completely unsuitable for the position she holds. That’s the inconvenient TRUTH.
