In honor of the 76th birthday of the esteemed Dr. Alwin Bully, the Alwin Bully Foundation Inc. has been diligently preparing for a spectacular evening of music and celebration titled “Legendary Echoes.” This event is set to take place at the Factory on Valley Road in Roseau on Saturday, November 23, starting at 8:00 PM.

He remarked, “We are extremely satisfied with progress made so far and patrons can expect an unforgettable night of high-quality entertainment.” He further emphasized the dedication of the participating artists and the supporting band, noting their remarkable effort to ensure the event honors the legacy of Dr. Bully. McKenzie extended an invitation to music lovers, assuring them, “I am extending an invitation to lovers of good music and clean entertainment to come to the show and you won’t be disappointed.”

The program for “Legendary Echoes” will spotlight an array of songs crafted by Dr. Bully, including theme songs from various theatrical productions like “The Ruler in Hairoona,” “The Nite-Box,” “Folk Nativity,” “Pio Pio,” and adaptations of Nobel Laureate Derek Walcott’s plays, “Ti Jean and His Brothers” and “Dream on Monkey Mountain,” translated into Kweyol. In addition, there will be calypso performances by well-known artists such as Rabbit and the Wizard.

Audiences can look forward to performances from some of Dominica’s leading vocal talents, including Carlyn XP, Marie Pascal Affana, Tasha P, the Web, Janae Jackson, Shalina, Ricardo Cognet, as well as Barbara Bully-Thomas, Dr. Bully’s sister, Maxine Alleyne-Esprit, Black Diamond, and the Christian Union Primary School Choir.

Musical direction for the evening will be under the expertise of the maestro Cornell Phillip, who will be joined by a talented ensemble of musicians, including Fred Nicholas, Jerry Moulon, Mikael Ferrol, Keleb Rodney, Vernandra Christian, and Pan In Harmony.
