The Dominica Infirmary rolls out Residents Awareness Week

The Dominica Infirmary is celebrating a week of exciting activities as they celebrate Residents Awareness Week. The activities are scheduled for the December  8-13, 2024, honouring elders, celebrating lives and sharing stories.

According to information from the Dominica Infirmary, a church service was held from 3:00 PM at the infirmary together with the Music Lovers Band on Sunday, December 8. The official opening ceremony is being held today from 11:00 AM under the distinguished presence of the President of Dominica, Her Excellency Sylvanie Burton and her husband.

Tuesday, December 10, the Dominica Infirmary will host volunteers day, an opportunity to give back and support residents.Wednesday, December 11, a family day will be held where families of residents of the infirmary are invited to be part of activities with their loved ones.

On Thursday, December 12, an exciting outing is organized for residents to the Fresh Water Lake in Laudat and Friday, December 13, the infirmary will have a donation day, giving members of the public  a chance to contribute to the infirmary. Cash, groceries, clothes and provisions will be accepted.

The public is invited to join the infirmary to celebrate its residents.
