Thea does it again! LaFond secures silver in World Championships in Tokyo

Dominica proudly adds another medal to its collection with another remarkable achievement by Thea Lafond-Gadson on the international scene.

Lafond-Gadson secured a silver medal this morning at the World Athletics Championships held in Japan.

The Olympian gold-medalist soared to a season-best distance of 14.89 meters amidst a highly competitive field, earning her a spot in the women’s triple jump final at #Tokyo2025.

Just to put things into proper perspective. India with a current population of approximately 1.8 billion, won 0 medals at the World Athletics Championships 2025 in Tokyo.
