Organizers of Ti Vilaj Kwéyòl are promising a glimpse into the vibrant activities and experiences that will be featured throughout this year’s celebration, on Monday at the preliminary launch at the Discover Dominica Authority.
Ti Vilaj Kwéyòl is a four-day festival that will run from October 21-24, and is designed to complement the World Creole Music Festival. The annual event offers both locals and tourists an opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich cultural tapestry of Dominica. Themed “Tout Biten Domnik,” it will highlight the finest aspects of Dominican culture, showcasing traditional arts, fashion, dance, music, culinary delights, locally-produced goods, and agricultural practices, and the cultural traditions that unite the community.
This initiative is a collaborative effort involving several government ministries, including Labour, Sports, and Service Reform; Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development; Agriculture, Fisheries, Blue and Green Economy; Culture, Youth, Sports, and Community Development; Foreign Affairs, International Business, Trade and Energy; Tourism; Housing and Urban Development; and Environment. The organizers report that they are working alongside key public and private sector partners to ensure the success of this culturally enriching festival.
