Destination Marketing Manager at Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) Andia Ravariere recently reminded Dominicans living overseas and visitors alike of the many travel options to get them to the island for Mas Domnik 2025.
Speaking during an official Carnival press conference, she highlighted several exciting events and competitions that are presently being held, leading up to Carnival Monday and Tuesday, scheduled for March 3 and 4.
“We are in this, right now, the countdown phase. I like to say the countdown has been initiated,” she said. “ We have Sunrise, Miss Dominica Carnival Queen Pageant, and Mas Domnik is just literally over two weeks away, so book your tickets.”
According to her, all major regional airlines such as WinAir, InterCaribbean Airways, LIAT20, Sunrise Airways, and Caribbean Airlines, “will get you on our streets behind a lapo kabwit band or any of our trending bouyon bands.”
To persons traveling from beyond the Caribbean, she noted that these airlines feed from major hubs of Barbados, St Maarten, Antigua and Barbuda, with Caribbean Airlines feeding from Trinidad and Silver Airways feeding from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Ravariere remarked that all of these airlines provide similar connections to Dominica.
“Additionally, from the US we all know that American Airlines has straight flights out of Miami, and February 15, United Airlines has gifted us with a post-Valentine’s Day gift by commencing direct flights from Newark, New Jersey,” she stated.
