The Trump administration announced a new travel restriction policy on Wednesday, implementing a proclamation that suspends entry into the United States for citizens from 12 specific countries, including the CARICOM state Haiti. The other listed countries are: Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen.
According to a CNBC article, the administration justified this move by citing concerns over national security, asserting that these nations do not have adequate vetting and screening procedures to effectively identify individuals who might pose safety or terrorism risks to the U.S.
It also states that the proclamation emphasizes that decisions were also influenced by factors such as each country’s information-sharing policies, presence of terrorist groups, visa overstay rates, and the willingness to accept deported citizens.
In addition to the 12 countries, the proclamation imposes partial restrictions on travelers from seven other nations: Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela. The policy’s criteria also consider the countries’ overall security practices and cooperation levels. The new restrictions are scheduled to take effect early Monday morning at 12:01 AM ET.
In a video released by the White House, President Trump recalled his initial directives upon taking office, instructing a security review of “high-risk regions” to inform travel restrictions. He also reportedly referenced the recent attack in Boulder, Colorado, where the suspect, Mohamed Sabry Soliman, an Egyptian national, was involved — although Egypt is not among the countries listed in the new ban.
This measure echoes a previous travel ban introduced in January 2017, shortly after Trump’s inauguration, which targeted seven predominantly Muslim countries. Despite facing widespread criticism, that earlier policy was upheld by the Supreme Court in 2018.
Democratic lawmakers, including Senators Adam Schiff and Ed Markey, have voiced strong opposition to the current restrictions, arguing that the policies do not enhance national security but instead promote discrimination, stated the article.
Notably, CNBC reports that the new restrictions apply to foreigners outside the U.S. who lack valid visas as of June 9, while exceptions are made for certain groups such as U.S. permanent residents, athletes attending major events, and immediate family members with verifiable proof of identity and relationships, including DNA evidence.
It is inhumane what western countries have done, and continue to do to Haiti simply for defeating Napoleon and free themselves from slavery since 1804. Today it’s being done under the guise of fighting “gangs”, when they are actually Freedom Fighters fightin to free their homeland from theft of resources and sweat-shops to produce cheap goods for the same western countries.
After all, Clinton apologized for destroying Haiti’s ability to grow rice, in exchange for cheaper rice from his farmers in Arkansas for example. It’s preposterous!
All part of Trump’s Project 2025 agenda, making America white again. He’s deporting and banning coloured people from black, Asian and Moslem countries while importing white Afrikaanas from South Africa to replace them. He said during his campaign that was his intention but people thought he was just bluffing. So this is the real Donald Trump on show. The Black and Latina MAGAs are really quiet and embarrassed by now for supporting this racist dictator. FAFO (F**K Around and Find Out). They are finding out now after F-ing around with their votes.
What has Haitians done to Don-Old Trump? He calls them derogatory names, accuses them of killing and consuming pet cats, has subjected them to immediate deportation, now banning them from entering the US.
All the countries he has denied entry to have one thing in common – majority brown and black inhabitants. Is this a coincidence? NADA! Conversely, he has allowed white South Afrikaans with a history of supporting apartheid with open arms into America and give them immediate residency status.
He has turned the world on its head. The man is a serious existential threat to civilization.
This one, low IQ individual has turned the world on its head. The world is in BIG trouble!
Stay focused, pay attention to a genocide in the making, it’s a process. They start by referring to freedom fighters as gangs. Setting it up.
The last genocide in South Africa a few weeks ago of European foreigners, no war, involved millions of them but only about 55 people/families wanted to leave that genocide with free plane rides, U.S visa + citizenship, no long walk with all their belongings on their heads balancing; the dream of everyone else today. Most of them stayed in trump’s white genocide. Oh, how sweet it must be to prefer to stay and suffer the lie.
