Can a native born citizen of a country travel, out of the country, and reenter illegally?

    ‘The answer is always no!’

Nevertheless, if on entry they smuggled merchandise or anything which could generate some revenue via the custom, that would be a violation of the law; hence, they could be charged for committing a smuggling offense.

However; under normal circumstance, it is illegal to arrest a natural born citizen for entering his or her country without going through immigration.

And I know this for a fact!

If that be the case; every fisherman who set sail each day remain more than eight hours at sea; did not get permission from the immigration to go out fishing in the morning, when they return at knight, that means they could be arrested.

In Dominica everything works in reverse; I agree with COVID-19, one needs to exercise caution; nevertheless, it’s my opinion that the two could prevail in a law suite against the government, for false arrest and imprisonment!

      “at knight,”

      That should be “night.”

Guy although I hate to say it, I can telly you are not very intelligent at all!

You know I detest Roosevelt Skerrit Me Almost Nearly Cousin, that damn corrupted crook; but be it he acted on Lennox advise, or the tourist ships stop arriving, or LIAT stop flying to Dominica, that might be  the best decisions that corrupted boy, doctor Punjab made.

If he had not shut the country down all of you including you, Roosevelt, Lennox would all be dead by now!

Keep in mind Clown they say the population of Dominica is 70 -thousand people, I know less than thirty thousand people are now residing in the country.

Not this: as of today in America confirm infected cases are 1,448, 254, there are 253,239 confirmed cases of recovery!

Confirmed dead are 86,541 people, that is more people than the entire born population of Dominica.

You can go ahead talk nonsense, about Lennox; it is not over yet: expect the worst  in the Fall and Winter of 2020!

Hello and good evening my people. How can you arrest two Dominicians for entering their country which is their place of birth.I say that to show how your headline is misleading. The headline should say two men from the Dominician Republican was arrested for illegally entering Dominica.

    • May 14, 2020

Jimit is not a port of entry.

Tony, are the two men actually from the Dominican Republic; or are they born in the Commonwealth Republic of Dominica, formally ” Dominica” the former British colony?

If they are nationals of the Dominican Republic, which is located in the West Indies, between the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea.

Which lies between north latitude 19 degrees and west longitude 70.40 degrees and covers a total area of 48,442 square kilometers of which 48,600 square kilometers is land and 350 square kilometers is taken up by the water bodies.

Then the caption is wrong, and indeed that constitute mandatory arrest and deportation, even without a court trial!

    boy I have to laugh eh

Election over so back door close tighter than the hole where the sun don’t shine on straight men    . Now, I am happy because of COVID the police are finally doing their job but if that is not corruption at its highest level what is? Mahaut and environs were awash with guns, drugs and new faces every morning at least for two weeks before last election. The visitors names did not appear on any flight or vessel manifest but no arrests were made. Matter of fact the culprits were fetted, wined, dined and some even 69ed for making the journey. Today they are arrested? God is indeed good all the time!

An election is when we elect government officials whether thru borborl or the will of the people.A pandemic which is what we are in with thousands of people getting sick and dying thru contact contamination.TWO DIFFERENT PLAYING FIELDS.You cannot even begin to compare those two situations.

Oh no brother?? That election fraud is a disease just like a virus infection that will contaminate us just the same and here to stay feeding on itself. Even Skerrit victim to it. He can never be free to move again and trust nobody. What a hell some people making for themselves, food of a golden spoon taste the same as off a plastic spoon but nobody stealing your cutlery, such foolishness.

They should have put a condom over their head s police don’t recognise them and accuse them of illegal entry. Funny though they see them come but not go.

Congrats to the police – I note the incident occurred at 11.30am emmmh – well it was our beloved Prime Minister who said to the World while addressing the issue of Dominicans stranded in Guadeloupe, ” if we closed our boarders then people wanting to come home will come through the back door and we all know this is part of our culture , it is a norm” – when I heard that statement coming from our Prime Minister it gave me the shivers; because there it is the head of government is admitting to the World that our country is saying it is a cultural norm for operations to take place through the back door. Bearing in mind that our country is being alleged to be a transshipment point for illicit activity including drugs and human trafficking, (Haitians etc). So I was really shocked to hear the PM admitting to this scenario. It also in my opinion gave comfort to those wanting to come home an avenue to explore. Suffice it to say congrats to those doing boarder security.

What else can one expect from Skerrit.
It appears that this man is really someone without decorum, thoughtful or diplomatic in in his words and thoughts.
We hope to see the back of this man soon.
My people wake up and be prepared to get Skerrit out of our government. The soonest the better.
Apres Bondie ce Later. God is good
