Unexpected power outages currently being investigated by DOMLEC

DOMLEC is currently investigating a fault on the Sugar Loaf East Feeder, following unexpected, widespread power outages on Saturday, September 20, 2025. The Sugar Loaf Feeder supplies the affected areas.

Meanwhile, customers are advised to stay tuned for updates regarding the restoration time.

In a statement, the company expressed apologies to customers in the following communities for the unplanned service interruption:

    With the frequent outages, all I hear from DOMLEC is APOLOGIES :twisted: :twisted: To get compensated for equipment damage and loss of electricity is a ” hole “runaroud!!! Just because you are the sole supplier. Dammit!! man. Have some consideration for the consumers. Dominica is really now unlivable

    What do you expect from the seed of long expired generators. Which animals are they going to blame now? An invasive species of insects? There is never an uneventful day Dominica. The cry is pregnant with issues of all kinds.When it isn’t electricity it’s water. If it isn’t water it’s garbage. The problems are infinite.
