Police have released the name of an 18-year-old male who died as a result of a vehicular road traffic collision on Thursday.
The deceased is Tyrell Baltazar of Pottersville. He was the pillion rider of a motor scooter driven by 15-year-old Sherquan Seaman of Upper Gutter.
According to reports, the accident occurred on the E.O Leblanc Highway on Thursday, March 28, at about 11:30p.m in the vicinity of the Pottersville Savannah.
The motor scooter collided with a black Toyota RAV 4, registration number PA2209.
The Toyota RAV 4 was reportedly travelling in a southerly direction along the E.O Leblanc Highway, while the motor scooter was traveling in a westerly direction along Charles Avenue.
Baltazar, who sustained injuries to his head, succumbed to his injuries.
Seaman was transported to the Accident and Emergency Department of the Dominica-China Friendship Hospital (DCFH).
Investigations are ongoing.

seaman I encourage you to seek God as he speared your life sorry your friend oassed on. it’s hard. but give God your life and serve him before it is to late. there are many who can help you and want good for you. thise who encouraged you with this bike are not your friends so beware.

Why was a 15 year old riding a scooter at that unholy hour of the night when he should have been safely tucked away in bed? Parental irresponsibility is partially involved here.
boy I tell you it not easy now..parents trying their best with children and they are influenced by others. it is sad. gone are the days if another parent sees a child doing wrong it would be reported or the child scolded. not now. b4 you talk to a child they ready to shoot sometimes u just let them be. even parrents toh want u to talk to their children. my condolences to all family and friends.
