US Assistant Coach, Conrad Whyte, to be hosted in Dominica

Conrad Whyte

DA Next Level Sports Management and Recruiting Group will be hosting Conrad Whyte, Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator at Merrimack College, a Division 1 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) school. Whyte is an NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma recipient, A USSF National You License (Y) recipient, and holds a USSF “A” license. Coach Whyte will be on island from July 24 to 28, 2023 to conduct various camps and clinics across the island.

DA Next Level Sports Management and Recruiting Group is a group that combines a deep commitment to scholarships and professional endeavors with equally distinctive athletes. According to a press release, they are a unique blend of persons with diverse sporting and marketing skills, who have decided to collaborate as a single entity.

This entity evolved as a result of the coming together of three brands, 767 Sports Club, Sports In Nature, and DA Sports Vybez, groups with a passion for sports. Whyte will conduct sessions with the Newtown Academy, the BAA Sharks FC and most importantly he will have a chance to observe the National U14, U15, and U17 players.  He will also conduct a session with the Senior National Female team.

This visit is not only on a one-time basis but is to establish a long-term relationship to scout for young talented players. On his visit, he will also be meeting with the Head of Academix School in Portsmouth, as the aim is to develop an Elite Sports Academy, so that we can provide players with a defined pathway from youth to the collegiate level and beyond. Coach Whyte will also have the opportunity to meet other sports stakeholders to discuss plans for bringing teams to Dominica in 2024.

DA Next Level Sports Management and Recruiting Group recently sent five players to Antigua to participate in a College Soccer Combine.  Two of the five players received athletic scholarships to attend the State Fair Community College in August 2023. Recently, one basketball player was also sent to New York for six weeks.

While he is there he will be training with top coaches and trainers. This visitation was made possible through support from the Dominica Olympic Committee, Dominica Football Association, and Digicel. The recruiting service is open to student-athletes who want to get recruited.

“We work with student-athletes on all aspects of the college preparation, application, and admissions process to provide them the best possible opportunities,” the release stated.
