The Colihaut Police has commenced investigation into the discovery of the lifeless body of a German-born United States citizen.
According to police reports, 64-year-old Jonathan Marc Allein who arrived in Dominica on December 4, 2024, was discovered inside his rented dwelling house at Dublanc at about 6:15 PM on Monday, February 24, 2025.
The body was transported to the Portsmouth Hospital where it was medically examined and pronounced deceased later that evening and is being stored pending an autopsy.
The preliminary investigation did not suggest foul play. Nonetheless, an investigation is ongoing.
Sincerest sympathy to the family and friends of the deceased. I hope that the autopsy will prove that no foul play was involved to avoid further negative exposure for the people of Dominica.
