Water outages in Wallhouse under investigation by DOWASCO

Residents of Wallhouse have reportedly been experiencing frequent and, at times, prolonged water interruptions, prompting the Dominica Water and Sewerage Co Ltd (DOWASCO) to apologize for the inconvenience to its consumers.

“Please be advised that we are actively investigating the underlying cause of these interruptions,” Public Relations Officer (PRO) of DOWASCO, Kimani St Jean, said during a statement. “We have already carried out several assessments across the system and will continue to conduct further technical checks to identify and resolve the issue as quickly as possible.”

These, she said, include monitoring the supply network to the tank, as well as investigations into the distribution system.

Furthermore, St Jean pointed out that while these measures continue, DOWASCO plans to keep the community updated.

“Additional information will be shared as soon as it becomes available,” she noted.

St Jean added, “We thank the residents of Wallhouse for their patience and understanding as we work to restore consistent and reliable water service.”
