
A high-pressure system will continue to dominate the weather pattern during the next 24 hours. Patches of clouds moving with the wind flow are expected to result in partly cloudy to cloudy skies with some scattered showers, some of which could be moderate to heavy, especially during the morning and overnight periods. People in areas at risk of flooding, landslides and falling rocks should remain alert and exercise caution.
A slight plume of Saharan dust is expected to affect the island tonight. Persons with respiratory sensitivities are advised to take the necessary precautions.
Sea conditions are forecast to be slight to moderate during the next 24 hours, with waves reaching up to 7 feet along the eastern coast and around 3 feet along the western coast. An increase to near 8 feet along the eastern coast and 5 feet along the western coast is expected tonight. Small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to exercise some caution.
Meanwhile, a third tropical wave in the eastern tropical Atlantic continues to be monitored.
