WEATHER (6:00 AM, Oct 12): Cloudiness, scattered showers today; increase in Saharan dust this weekend

A pulse of moisture moving westward is expected to result in occasional cloudiness with scattered showers across the area during today. Occasionally breezy conditions can also be expected.

A slight increase in Saharan dust concentration can be expected to linger across the area throughout the weekend. Individuals with respiratory sensitivities are advised to take necessary precautions.

Seas are expected to be slight to moderate, with wave heights near 3 ft along the west coast and up to 7 ft along the east coast. Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution.
