Moisture and instability associated with a tropical wave will continue to affect the area today and tonight. Cloudy to overcast skies with showers, sometimes moderate to heavy, are expected. A significant increase in shower activity is anticipated tonight.
As a result, a Flood Warning is in effect for the northern to eastern parts of Dominica and a Flood Watch is in effect for the southern part, valid from 6:00 a.m. today to 12:00 noon. Upgrades are possible during the day. Residents in areas prone to flooding, landslides, and falling rocks should remain vigilant and exercise extreme caution.
Seas are expected to be slight to moderate, with wave heights up to 3 feet along the west coast and up to 7 feet along the east coast during the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, another tropical wave in the eastern Atlantic is being monitored. This system has a high chance of development over the next 7 days.
