A gradual drying out of the atmosphere together with an increase in Saharan dust concentration can be expected by afternoon.
An area of low pressure has formed along a westward moving tropical wave in the Eastern Tropical Atlantic. The disturbance has a high chance of development as it moves across the central Atlantic and is projected to be near the Lesser Antilles by mid next week. Residents should continue to monitor the progress of this system and to be prepared as we are in the peak month of the Atlantic Hurricane season.
Slight to moderate seas can be anticipated over the next 24 hours, with wave heights up to 3 feet along the west coast and near 7 feet along the east coast.
