The passage of a tropical wave is expected to maintain generally cloudy conditions with periods of scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms across the island tonight and into tomorrow morning. People in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks are advised to be on alert and to exercise caution.
A dust plume is expected to move into the area tomorrow, reducing air quality and visibility. Individuals with respiratory sensitivities should take precautions.
Moderate seas can be expected during the next 48hours, with wave heights up to 5ft along the western coast and to 8ft along the eastern coast. A Small Craft Advisory is now in effect. Meanwhile, westerly ground swells are expected to continue impacting the western coastline tonight and the High Surf Advisory remains in effect. Small-craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.
