WEATHER (6:00AM, March 15th): Scattered showers mainly in the morning hours, wind speeds expected to increase over next few days

A weak trough system is affecting the area today and is expected to increase moisture levels.

This will lead to periods of cloudiness with scattered showers, mainly during the morning hours. Persons living in areas prone to flooding, landslides, and falling rocks are advised to remain alert and exercise caution.

Wind speeds are also expected to increase over the next few days.

Sea conditions are forecast to be moderate during the next 24 hours. Waves may reach near 8 feet along the eastern coast and around 5 feet along the western coast.

A Small Craft Advisory is now in effect. Small craft operators and sea bathers should remain alert and exercise caution.

Have yo shower commendation and appreciation to the Dominica Meteorological Office for the exceptionally competent job they do concerning the forecast of the weather. They are one of the best, if not the best, in this part of the Caribbean region. They are always abreast with their reports.

I hope and wish that other local public service entities will emulate this efficient organization. Keep up the outstanding standard of work.
