WEATHER UPDATE (6:00 PM): Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles

Valid from: 6:00 PM on Sunday, September 29, 2019

A high pressure system is expected to remain the dominant feature across the area over the next 24 to 48 hours. Occasional cloudiness with a few brief showers can be expected across the island chain during the period.

Thereafter, by late Wednesday into Thursday, a tropical wave is expected to produce scattered showers across the island chain.

Moderate seas are expected during the next 12 to 24 hours with waves peaking near 8.0 feet. All users of the sea, particularly on the east coast, are advised to exercise caution due to swells generated by Hurricane Lorenzo.
