Wesley High School initiates centennial festivities, February 25, 2026

Opening of the Wesley High School in 1926

Wesley High School is set to formally kick off its centenary celebrations with a press event scheduled for Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM, taking place at the Bethesda Methodist Chapel.

A Wesley High School release shared that the launch marks the start of a year-long series of festivities commemorating 100 years of academic achievement and character building. It also said that since opening its doors in 1926, Wesley High School has been instrumental in cultivating generations of leaders, professionals, and citizens who have made notable contributions to national progress and the broader Caribbean community.

The event will gather former and current students, church officials, and special guests in a moment of appreciation and reflection.

The centennial festivities will be themed: “A Century Rooted in Faith, Growing in Excellence and Serving with Love.”

Throughout the year, a diverse schedule of activities is planned, including alumni reunions, community service projects, special publications, student contests, and a large thanksgiving service.

The release added that these initiatives aim to highlight the school’s legacy while fostering stronger connections among alumni and stakeholders.
