Athanaze, it seems as though you are becoming complacent. In order to cement your place in the team you have to be more consistent with your batting. For these test matches against South Africa, may the real Athanaze show up.

Congrats and well wishes to my fellow Dominicans on their continued inclusion in the West Indies Test team. Both players performed creditably against England while making their fellow countrymen and the region proud.

It is no secret that West Indies Test cricket is currently going through a relatively dry patch and rebuilding period. Hodge and Athanaze have certainly made the most of their opportunities thus far on the international level.

One can only imagine if the Windies selectors can somehow discover at least two other productive batsmen to join the two Dominicans in the line-up. Sadly, the pickings appear to be slim across the region at this time.

I wish our brethren continued success on the field of play and in life in general.

So were they not expected to be on the squad and in the final eleven? It would have made more sense to even say Keacy Carty is on the squad or Alzari Joseph was rested
