We all need help. Why is it only when there is someone of status that the government needs to take notice? What about the numerous mothers and infants who have perished over the years. Dominica has an unenviably bad record when it comes to infant mortality compared to the rest of the world. A record that the government does not discuss. Yet we boast about a “new” hospital. “Researchers and policy-makers often rely on the infant mortality rate as an indicator of a country’s health. Despite arguments about its relevance, uniform measurement of infant mortality is necessary to guarantee its use as a valid measure of population health”. nuff said.

Minister of Health, Cassini Laville, an engineer by profession, is one of the biggest square pegs in a round hole in the cabinet. Only two are more unfit for the portfolios they hold. Those two are Minister ‘Shake Your Booty’ and the functionally illiterate ornament, Melissa, with her one certificate, that’s her birth certificate.

Hello and good morning my people. Well we all are in pain for the repeated failure of our leaders. Here’s a highly skilled person who showed up at a government facility which suppose to be the top health facility in the country but she couldn’t receive basic medical treatment,therefore where does that leave the average citizen. Now what procedures are you establishing to prevent such another tragedy or should we wait for the next painful disaster.
