JCI Dominica makes history, wins Best Local Global Goals Project at 2025 JCI World Congress in Tunisia

JCI Dominica has proudly secured the prestigious Best Local Global Goals Project Award at the 2025 JCI World Congress in Tunis, Tunisia for its flagship initiative, Read With Me, marking a
historic moment for the organization and for Dominica.

Read With Me was developed to promote early literacy, strengthen family engagement, and provide equitable access to educational resources to children across the island. The project is
grounded in Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education, and combines awareness, action, and sustainability through reading sessions, book drives, capacity building for parents
and caregivers, and the distribution of literacy support tools.

Local President of JCI Dominica, Mr. Phael Lander shared:

“This is a proud moment for JCI Dominica. Read With Me was born from a simple idea in 2020 with a powerful purpose to build a love for reading, strengthen family engagement and make
learning accessible to every child. Winning Best Local Global Goals Project at the 2025 JCI World Congress validates the heart, the hard work and the commitment of our members.

I am grateful to every partner, parent, volunteer and stakeholder who believed in this vision with us. Today, Dominica stands on the world stage proving that when we invest in our children, we
invest in our future.” JCI Dominica extends special thanks to its members, partners, schools, and the many families who participated and supported the initiative over the last year. The organization remains committed to developing young active citizens and delivering impact-driven projects that improve communities and transform lives.
