Joseph Isaac unanimously re-elected as Speaker of the House

Joseph Isaac

Joseph Isaac was re-elected as Speaker of the House of Assembly, unopposed, on Monday.

Isaac who was delivering remarks at parliament revealed the names of persons who have shown confidence in him over the years.

“Ambassador Irwin LaRocque who has nurtured and guided me in my first job as a trade officer in the Ministry, Mr. Patrick Pemberton for recognizing my talent and employing me at Colgate Palmolive as an engineer, Mr. Collin Bully for challenging me at the OECS Export Development Unit, Dr. Collin McIntyre who was the minister for trade and at the time with His Excellency Eluid Williams being the chairman of the business gateway project and the export development strategy, they have shown confidence in me all those years,” he said.

He continued, “Madam Speaker for your work which you have guided me through as being the speaker when I just came in, I would like to thank you.”

Isaac also thanked Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit who he worked with as a minister of environment.

“You have taught me about leadership in a different way, about being measured,” he stated. “I would like to thank you on the public record, not as a politician, but as a person who I see as one of the best HR persons I have seen in my life, even if I have worked with multi-nationals.”

Most importantly, Isaac thanked his wife and family.

Meantime, the grandson of former Speaker of the House of Assembly, Alix Boyd-Knights,  Phillip Rolle, was re-elected as Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly unopposed.

Rolle also took his oath at the first sitting of parliament on Monday morning.

He expressed his sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Skerrit and other colleagues for electing him as deputy speaker.

“I remember standing in this honourable House just three years ago with a firm commitment to make a positive contribution to this Parliament and my country,” he said.

According to Rolle, being elected as deputy speaker is a role that he takes very seriously, and is grateful for the guidance of the longest-serving speaker of the House, “who luckily for me happens to be my grandmother.”

“Today I look across this honourable House and I am as inspired as I am energized by the number of young parliamentarians sitting here today,” he noted.

The Deputy Speaker pledged to work diligently in service to the honourable House and Dominica.

Calling out names, of people you think were successful, and poplar:

That last word should spell popular. In any event that’s the mentality of many low life Dominicans, they believe saying they are friends to someone with a profession, or in some position of authority, that gives them a feeling of belonging to a certain Nitch, and that’s all you have done by naming these people who themselves has not accomplish much in the personal endeavors.

    So, what’s your point?

Who are you trying to impress by writing a cerise of names of people who might be ashamed of you, as a matter of fact the names of those you mentioned most Dominicans may not care too hoops about them; considering their bourgeoisie mentality and trust me I know all the people whose name you mentioned; there is nothing important about them.

Guy the only talent you have is the one that make you disoriented; but you are going to hell because of that talent; the same as Sodom and Gamarra when the cities burned!

Now if you could not use your talent to run a common bread-shop, bread that people eat everyday folded you could not pay your debt, you went bankrupt trying to run a bakery; any wonder with people like you involved in the affairs of Dominica can only result in backwardness, and poverty?

People like you and Roosevelt are endowed with a curse!

Calling out names, of people you think were successful, and poplar makes you somebody; that is a mistake; it’s about self, your personal accomplishments; sitting there with your jawbone cramming out don’t you anything than you are “a nobody.”

In my opinion you are not even a man!
Only people with low self-esteem holds on to the coattail of others to impress others that “I am like them.”

You are nothing, just another satanic disoriented nobody!

Why not nuh? I mean Joseph did a spectacular job at being biased in Parliament, at shutting up opposition and allowing dlp to do and say what they liked. When the PM speaks in parliaments Joseph Isaac is beaming with glee and admiration. So ya man why not? He did his job of damage control in favor of the DLP very well. I even think he was worse than Boyd-Knight.

He will never be ok as the Speaker. Somebody, that betrayed everything he was so far standing for, for a few dollars, is as low as it gets. He should not be spoken about ever again, let alone be the holder of public office. You see, that are the low standards of the ‘man in charge’.

That guy facial expression alone tells the slimy snake he is. A typical house slaves who takes pride in cleaning the pot chamber of the slave driver and would use his hand clean excrement with a smile when the master toilet paper runs out. The definition of a butt smoocher. The level some will stoop for position and false prestige.
I have more respect for the drain cleaner in Roseau than i have for this guy.

I am not sure who is more disgraceful, the speaker himself or the persons that elected him!!

The speaker to me is the chairman of the parliamentary meetings. The way he behaves leaves so much to be desired …. but then again is voh was he voh was

The parliament at times sounds like a mental institution where the inmates are fully in charged.

Judas Isaac, judging him from his uncouth, disrespectful, irrational and unacceptable behaviour, is the absolutely worst Speaker in the Caribbean, probably in the world.

The Speaker is the only shepherd in parliament the parliamentarians are the sheep. But in Judas Isaac’s parliament the tail wags the dog. This guy performs for an audience of one.

The country should not expect much good, if any, to come from a House where the man in control has a prepossession that one group is always right and the other perpetually wrong. Objectivity is dead. A House divided cannot stand.

Do you think he is worse than Kevin McCarthy, the American House Speaker?

They are equally bad. Kevin worships Trump, Judas idolizes Roosevelt. Both have no right to the positions they hold.

Giving these two such enormous power of responsibility amounts to insanity.

“Do you think he is worse than Kevin McCarthy, the American House Speaker?” (ds).
I will continue to remind you that you talk to bloody much, running your mouth off about what you do not know!
I doubt any person with commonsense, or a smidgen of intelligence you would not have made any comparisons between McCarthy and (something) like Issaac.

In the first place Kevin was always a Republican, who has not betrayed his party. Unlike that bit of scum who sold out to Roosevelt Skerrit, for a few dollars, to pay his debt, from a failed bakery.

Boy don’t compare anything in backward Dominica to anything in America, because with the exception where people are people, (humans) there is nothing else to compare.

Congratulation Speaker Isaac it’s a good thing you left the party of the blue leaches. The best thing that has happened to Dominica is that the 3 stogies are no longer in the house. After Sham Douglas fooled the fools he is now sitting in parliament, while 15 bums led by a notorious bum is outside protesting.
