Listening to these ignorami masquerading in par-lie-a-ment as line ministers for the various government ministries is nothing but inconsequentiality.

You will hear the same old recycled promises and tired rhetoric. You will hear singing melodiously like sparrows about many spectacular accomplishments. An outsider just listening would think that every street in Dominica is paved with gold; there is full employment; crime is of little consequence; and all the inhabitants are living in utopia. Nothing can be further from the truth.

Under DLP’s rule headed by Roosevelt, begging has become a full occupation for many, vagrants litter the streets like stray dogs, and there is a huge population of Dominicans in all the neighbouring islands – Antigua, St. Martin, St. Kitts-Nevis, Guadeloupe, Martinique, seeking greener pastures.
