I am a French Canadian who has visited Dominica a few times. I never felt in some kind of danger in DA. Recently my wife and I were considering buying a property or small business on this beautiful Island. Unfortunately, doubt is now on our minds…
Happy Hollidays to all good people!

The laws are not too lenient. They need to be strictly enforced without fear or favour. The two murder suspects seem to have free reign to violate the laws without even as much as a simple reprimand.
Things in Dominica are so politicised that the guilty walks because of their political affiliation while the innocent are dragged through the courts for many years. Also, if you are a moneyed CBI resident, the laws don’t apply to you.
Dominica is outstanding for its peculiar idiosyncrasies.
I know the Prime minister did a lot of background work to bring the perpetrators to account but I think he should make a public speech to allay the fears of the international community about their safety in Dominica. The laws as it pertains to crime are too lenient and people go to prison for short time for intentionally killing someone. Wake up or tourist will choose some other Caribbean island to spend their money .
“Fears of the international community about their safety in Dominica!?” We continue to attract increasing numbers of visitors and no foreign embassy has issued a travel advisory to its citizens traveling to Dominica. So, when, in what forum, and by whom has this fear been expressed? How is this fear manifested? Smfh! Pure BS!
