These so-called press conferences by Roosevelt are mislabeled. They are nothing more than staged propaganda rallies strictly for mind bending political advantage.
My major disappointment with these bogus press conferences is the way the questioning is done. The news reporters are not given a opportunity to ask follow-up questions. This is a deliberate ploy by Roosevelt to just bloviate and avoid real answers to probing questions. The reporters should boycott these nothing burgers unless the arrangement of the questioning is changed.
Another problem is the news reporters themselves. They are more like news fawners. Instead of asking the tough, probing questions, they toss cotton candy questions to Roosevelt.
Dominica appears to be a nation of sheep where the ‘journalists’ are the most docile, submissive and deferential bunch. There isn’t even a functional journalist association in Dominica. That speaks volumes about them.
