The Mao suit has become a symbol of identity for the leaders of non-aligned countries in defense of national sovereignty and in the struggle against imperialism, colonialism, and neo-colonialism all around the world. Many leaders in Africa have worn it and continue to wear it with pride, not only in Asia. After 35 years of exclusive unipolarity, the Global South is awakening economically, politically and culturally. As Amilcar Cabral said in NY Oct. 20, 1972: “Revolution or national liberation struggle is like a dress wich must be fit to each individual’s body.”
A simple Shirt-Jack would keep it Caribbean. But I will go along with the communists’ Asian explanation when there’s exorbitant African Attire to express Caribbean dignity until we get some sense of self.

Interesting dressed like a true Chinese puppet. skerrit has sold the soul of the nation for a few pieces of silver and the help to maintain power. only thing missing in photo above is some strings pulled by Chinese ambassador. Next year speech will be in mandarin. one thing the Chinese need to be reminded black man love a rebellion. that is where we strong.
